Local Gardening Awards Results Evening 2018

EXMOUTH IN BLOOM AWARDS EVENING 2018

We are enormously proud to tell you that more than 80 guests attended the Exmouth in Bloom Local Garden Competition Awards evening. Chairman Gerry Bassett opened proceedings, welcoming everyone and this was followed by a short PowerPoint presentation of the stunning projects and transformations that have been completed in the last 12 months.

Exmouth’s Mayor Jeff Trail presented all the Britain in Bloom (South West) It’s Your Neighbourhood Awards. The following received

Grade 4: Thriving

Madeira Bowling Club, Bicton Street, Summerleaze Care Home, Hamilton Road Allotments, Devon Wildlife Garden and The Waterwheel. Manor Lodge Care Home

Grade 5: Outstanding

The Maer, Bystock Pools, Littleham School, Brixington Parade, The Swan Project, Palmer House Community Centre, Point in View Church, The War Memorial.

An award was also presented to the Powder Monkey who won an excellent Silver-Gilt in the Britain in Bloom, Business Leisure and Tourism Awards.

Many congratulations to them all.

After a break for a buffet, the long-awaited local awards began with Deputy Mayor Bruce de Saram joining the presentation party. Every entrant was presented with a certificate and the winners in each class received a trophy and gardening gift tokens, donated by our main sponsor Kings Garden and Leisure and also by St. Bridget’s Nursery and Otter Nursery. We are very grateful for this wonderful support CONGRATULATIONS to all the entrants.
