Our Awards

2023 Awards

Exmouth in Bloom goes from strength to strength.  In South West in Bloom we were awarded GOLD and astonishingly the Champion of Champions trophy making Exmouth the best Bloom town in the South West. We were also awarded the Sutton Seeds Cup for Outstanding Nature Conservation (Bystock Pools) and were nominated for Outstanding School Effort (Littleham School Gardening Club), the best Non-municipal Horticultural Display ( Station Concourse area), the award for the best Portfolio,  the Art in the Landscape award, the CPRE award for the best Environmental Project (Bystock Pools) and Brownie, Connie Browning, was runner-up in the painting competition (The  Incredible Edible Garden).

 

2022 Awards

This has probably been our most successful year since Exmouth in Bloom was formed 51 years ago.  We won our 18th Britain in Bloom (South West) GOLD since the RHS took over  the reins in 2001 and we were awarded the St Bridget Cup  for our class (Large Town).

In addition we were exceptionally proud to be nominated for several Discretionary Awards, including Outstanding School Effort for Littleham  C of E Primary School Gardening Club,  Best Community Initiative, Best Horticultural Display, Best Portfolio and were awarded:-

The Barry Cruse Trophy for  the Best Website

and  the coveted

Sponsors Trophy for the most Meritorious  Entry.

2021 Awards

In 2021 we were awarded our 17th Britain in Bloom (South West) GOLD award since the RHS took over in 2001. We were also proud to be chosen to represent the South West in the RHS Online Community Awards 2021. Our entries in ‘Cultivating your Community’ and ‘Planting with Purpose’ received Achievment Awards.  

2020 Awards

There was no 2020 Britain in Bloom competition due to Covid 19 restrictions. However we were honoured to receive certificates from the RHS acknowledging our Bloom contribution during Lockdown.

2019 Awards

In the South West in Bloom 2019 Champion of Champions category, we were awarded GOLD. This is 16th GOLD we have been awarded since the RHS took over in 2001. During this same period we have been awarded  St. Bridget Cup, 11 times for the best entry in our category of Large Town.

In addition in 2017 we won the Michael McGarhey Trophy for Exceptional Community Effort and in  2018 we were thrilled to receive the Art in the Landscape Trophy for our incredible community-funded Swan Project (below )
