7.12 21: Sun Lodge Masons’ donation to goes towards fabulous new planters.

At the recent Sun Lodge Non-Masonic Presentation Evening in the Masonic Hall, St Andrews Road, Exmouth, David Bassett, Treasurer of the Sun Lodge Masonic Charity Association, presented eight local charities and organisations with donations.

Gerry Bassett, Chairman, Carol Rowe, Vice Treasurer and volunteer Helen Speake from Exmouth in Bloom (pictured below) received a cheque for £250.00. Gerry thanked David and the Sun Lodge Masons for their generous donation and said that Exmouth in Bloom would be putting the money towards the purchase of new four-tiered planters for the Station Welcome Zone, replacing the existing ones which are at least 40 years old and have to be regularly painted in ‘Exmouth in Bloom’ blue to keep them looking good. The new planters which will cost approx. £3,000 will hopefully add even more of an impact to this area.

During the evening Centre Stage, also a recipient, entertained everyone with a selection of seasonal songs.
