While 6 volunteers were attacking the Waterwheel today, another 6 tackled a project in the Sensory Garden. We lifted some daffoldils last week from a broken boat in Alexandra Terrace, and have repurposed them today into the Sensory Garden to die down and establish in one of the wild flower borders. We thinned the poppies (which will look magnificent shortly), so that some of the wonderful shrubs and perennials could ‘see the light’, then hand weeded as many Sow Thistles we could find that had cunningly deguised themselves in amongst the poppies! A final sweep of the paths and the garden looked loved again.
