A great turnout of 12 volunteers today meant that we could tackle two neighbouring sites: The Waterwheel and the Sensory Garden. The Waterwheel planting was given a cut back, the grass seed heads removed and Liz scooped out some of the invasive weed which threatens to choke the pond at this time of year. This area is now part of the Queens Platinum Jubilee Q.R. trail, representing the 1960’s when Withycombe Mill was washed away and the mill wheel was moved here as a permanent feature.
All spic and span! A lot of green waste off for recycling. Well done the Blue Crew.
