After 9 weeks we have proper RAIN. Woohoo!! The perfect time to sort out the 4 damaged planters in Manchester Road with the plants that our grower Simon Boyce kindly delivered for us on Sunday afternoon. Marion dropped the plants off and nipped along to get the trolley loaded with filled watering cans, while Gerry and Liz hiked out and replaced the broken plants, that had not survived and then watered them in…….they need plenty!
Job done in an hour with lots of lovely passers-by stopping to say what a great job we do and what a joy it is to see all the colourful displays in the town. Certainly makes getting sopping wet worthwhile.
