There was an early start with three ‘larks’ up to greet Simon Boyce of Manstree Nurseries who, before first light (6.45 am.), delivered our order of plants, (Polyanthus, Myosotis, Violas and Bellis daisies this year), for Winter colour. Sorting the plants, using the various plans for areas in the town (46 planters, troughs, beds and boats in total) was soon completed. Elaine had worked out, with military precision (and keeping to Covid rules), the staggered arrival, of 21 volunteers, so we all had jobs to do. Mike Hole, our wonderful waterer had prepared everywhere perfectly for us and planting was all completed by 11.00 am.
We are most thankful to the people, businesses and Town Council of Exmouth who support Exmouth in Bloom and we are so very proud of all our volunteers who, through working together, help us to achieve our objective to make a difference to our town and keep Exmouth’s reputation as “The Town of Flowers”.
DONE!
