At the recent Presentation Evening, the draw was made for the Heirloom Quilt, ‘Fans of Exmouth in Bloom’ which was made especially for us by Clare Dawson and her U3A Group of Quilters. The lucky ticket, drawn out of the hat, belonged to Hayley Taylor, owner of Cats’ Motel in Exmouth, who is not only a keen supporter and indeed a ‘fan’ of Exmouth in Bloom, but was there at the event to receive awards for her garden. She was very surprised and please as you can see below, modelling the quilt and being congratulated by the Town Crier Roger Bourgein. The proceeds from the quilt draw amounted to a magnificent £557. Our thanks and much appreciation goes to the ladies who made this wonderful prize.
