An emergency workparty of 21 gathered today to spruce up the Sensory Garden ready for a visit from BBC Spotlight. We had it all ready, mown, edged, weeded and looking spic and span but……. there was no sign of the TV crew …..and much as we rang our BBC contact number, there was no reply.
Eventually we got the information that the Crew had been diverted along the seafront to Sideshore where a hole and cracks have appeared in the sea wall. Much more important than the Town winning GOLD and the Champion of Champions in the Southwest of England and GOLD in the National Finals of Britain in Bloom! How they couldn’t have followed two stories, less than 400m apart on the seafront, is beyond comprehension.
