One of our IYN groups has benefitted from the Treescape event organised by the Exmouth Rotary Club. Marion collected and planted two small Crab Apple saplings to add to the ‘flagpole’ beds in the Brixington Shops car park. In time these will complement the two Wild Cherry trees which were planted some years ago in a similar scheme and will give blossom in the Spring and fruit in the Autumn for making crab apple jelly or to benefit wildlife.
Rotary President Christine Peacock hands over tree saplings, canes and protective covers to Marion at Phear Park.
The flagpole beds at Brixington Shops Car park are packed with sustainable plants, succulents, self seeding wild flowers and marigolds.
The two Crab Apples will compliment the Wild Cherry trees.
