The beautiful town Christmas trees have been erected in The Strand and the Magnolia Centre by Exmouth Town Council and as in the past two years, Exmouth in Bloom volunteers have been busy making greenery swags to decorate the protective metal fencing. This year the Town Council Grounds Team have delivered off-cuts from the trees themselves to us and we have added Laurel, Holly, Ivy and a few other evergreens to brighten up the swags. We have also enlisted the help of Exmouth in Bloom volunteer Bill, who also helps out at Men in Sheds in Exeter. Ten magnificent bows have been cut from recycled wood and Bill has done a brilliant job painting them for us. We look forward to putting them all ‘in situ’ in the next few days and to the Exmouth Tree Lights ‘switch-on’ with Music and a children’s Lantern parade at the Winter Festival on Saturday 4th December in The Strand.
