29.09.22: Sensory Garden gets some TLC in a ‘weather window’ pop-up workparty.

Yet another great effort this morning for a ‘weather window of opportunity’ pop-up work party in the Sensory Garden. You can forget you are right on the seafront here in this sheltered sunken garden. It really is a lovely place to work, and to sit for a while too for that matter. The garden is now looking loved again after some TLC from 10 volunteers. We have left plenty of seed heads for the birds but have removed some nuisance fleabane, thistles and chickweed that were threatening to overwhelm the self-set wild flower seedlings. Les brought his little mower down and gave the  grass pathways a trim so all is looking wonderful now. Big thanks to the team today.
