The last Sunday of the month workparty and we were greeted with a grey, damp November morning so didn’t expect many volunteers to turn out. How wrong we were….. 20 stalwart workers met in the Strand to tackle the Dino beds before the Christmas Village marquee is erected.
What a lot we achieved as well. Plenty of litter was collected from the planted areas (and deposited in the right place) and we edged, weeded and tidied the whole area before moving on towards the Station. We cut back shrubs that were overhanging the pathways and swept up mountains of leaves that had built up around the cycle racks. Pauline and Peter even weeded between pavers in Manchester Road and the Station concourse ( there’s dedication for you). So the cuppa at Postcards was truly well deserved today.
Well done team you were magnificent today.
