24.04.21: The Sensory Garden ……step by step to completion.

Exmouth Art Group working alongside Exmouth in Bloom want to extend their thanks to EDDC, Exmouth Town Team, Exmouth Town Council. Exmouth Chamber of Commerce, Sun Lodge Masonic Charities,  Urban Earth, Jewsons and many private individuals for their support on this special and important project.

There has long been a need for those with sensory, physical and mental health problems to have a area on our beautiful Seafront where they can truly experience a garden which has been designed for their needs.

Graham Bell from both Exmouth Art Group and Exmouth in Bloom has been the project leader and designer alongside Gillie Newcombe President of the Art Group. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all who are aiding and abetting us whether by their generous financial support, their valuable time or their donations of equipment. We can not wait to see people touching, inhaling and listening to the trees, grasses, flowers and just observing the beauty of the garden and the mural. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

The framework for the mural is up. Flowering trees are in and the areas for planting are clearly showing and ready to be dug over. Today James, George and Liam from Urban Earth have built semi circular bases for seating.                             Great job done lads!
