18.07.23: ETC to the rescue with Devon County Council’s neglected underpass beds.

Quite a rare workparty today. The underpass beds on the LED side are owned, but neglected,  by Devon C ounty Council. They were last attended to a year ago when our local  County Councillors  Jeff Trail and Richard Scott,  negotiated for professional garden services to come in and clear the bindweed, dead cordyline spears and  trim some of the bushes back. This year there were no funds available so Exmouth Town Council Grounds team, supported by Exmouth in Bloom Volunteers went in to give the area a spruce up before the  Britain in Bloom judges arrive next week.

You can see just how much green waste we generated when Adam from Streetscene came along to take  it all away for recycling.

Great team work here ETC, EDDC. and Exmouth in Bloom all working together to make a difference.

A huge ‘Thank You’ to everyone who came to help bag-up the green waste and  to those who spilled over to de-weed the area around the Leisure Centre and the Swan.  You all did a magnificent job!

Difference made!
