18.05.21: Launch of the 2021 Local Gardening Competition

We launched our annual Local Gardening Competition  at King’s, Garden and Leisure (Exmouth) and were  especially grateful that  Richard King managed to take time out of his busy schedule to join us. The Town Crier and the Mayor were there to support the launch, along with members of the Bloom Committee.  The competition has 9 categories, including a  filled ‘Recycled container’ and an ‘Edible Hanging Basket’ this year,  but it was decided that all entries must be viewable from the pavement this year due to Covid. ‘King’s’ are generously funding the competition and entrants will be invited to a Presentation Evening in October when certificates and prizes will be awarded. With the surge in people’s interest in gardening due to the pandemic, we are expecting a lot of new participants this year and look forward to judging all the entries in July.

Entry forms are available from  Kings Garden and Leisure,  Birds and Bees,  Tourist Information Office and  Exmouth Library or you can download them here.
