Today Bloomers, Liz and Marion joined volunteers from Exmouth Wildlife Group who had organised the Exmouth Town Council’s Grounds Maintenance Team to strim the Wildflower bank in Dinan Way opposite Lidl early this morning. The bank is home to some rare and beautiful Bee Orchids that flower there, along with quite a number of other species (see survey by Liz and Roger photo 2) so to cut and rake it off like a meadow is important for future flowering.
Great job done today with 5 people raking and bagging the arisings and two taking the huge bags up to the Recycling centre just up the road for composting.
Well done folks!
