Having completed the work at new Sea Defences area the workparty trundled, complete with tools, down the seafront to the Sensory Garden. The gorgeous sunflowers there got badly battered a few weeks ago by strong winds and heavy rain. To be honest it looked more like a disaster area. However an hour with a team from Exmouth in Bloom made quite a difference to the Wild flower borders along the edge of the area and another team finished off the job a day or so later. We have saved a lot of seed heads from the wonderful sunflowers which we will prepare, packet up and sell on our fundraising stalls in the months to come.
How it looked two weeks ago on 28th September
All spic and span for the moment and how lucky are we to be able to work in this stunning location, just across the road from the beach? Well done Blue Team.
