Exmouth in Bloom members joined Hayley Watson of Isolation Creation and local children for the ‘opening’ of the Over the Garden Fence project. The project was started last August with a free children’s activity afternoon of painting in the Sensory Garden which was kindly supported by Build Base, Homeworx and Tesco Exmouth.
Over the winter months the painted templates were varnished and were installed on the fence just a few weeks ago. Sadly the lack of rain and hot weather has meant that the wildflower seed has not made much progress yet, but we live in hope.
Two sisters, who painted Sunflower templates back in August were chosen to ‘cut the ribbon’ We hope their efforts will bring joy and a smile to the faces of the people using the busy path from the Station to the seafront this Summer.
