07.08.22: Plastic Free Exmouth Festival…what a day!

As a partner of Plastic Free Exmouth we were invited to bring a stall to their Festival at the new Sideshore complex on the seafront. Wow what a venue and what a wonderful pitch we had! So many residents and visitors heading for the beach, or just taking the sea air, stopped to comment about how wonderful the flowers are looking in the town…. ‘the best ever’ was the common phrase. We took a reduced stock for the stall,  thinking that we would use the day for PR in the Community.  However, we sold out of all the Pride of Exmouth peligoniums, almost all Carol’s recycled fabric bags, just a few preserves were left and we were down to 6 packs of Notecards and 4 Calendars by the end of the day. People came by saying they had forgotten to bring a book to read on the beach… so we sold 20. We raised £194 had some lovely chats to people, sold some raffle tickets for our fabulous ‘Fans of Exmouth in Bloom’ Quilt, made by the U3A Quilting group and signed up a ‘Friend of Exmouth in Bloom’.

Thank you Plastic Free for inviting us to join you.

It was the most brilliant day.

What a view!

Even had time for a catch up with all the news!
