06.08.21: Volunteers’ Summer outing to Cadhay Garden

Exmouth In Bloom volunteers’ summer outing with Tea and Cake, was to Cadhay Gardens this year. It was a great success despite being on a day of sharp showers.  However the ‘rain fairy’ waved  her magic wand over the time of the garden tour and the looming clouds gave way to some lovely sunshine.

Cadhay Gardens are superb and well worth a visit. The head gardener, Dave, was a mine of fascinating information and shared humorous anecdotes about the development of the gardens in a talk about the history of  Cadhay House dating back to the 13th  century. Here are a few photos to give you some idea of what Cadhay is like. The Cosmos and Dahlias are looking particularly fabulous just now. Thanks go Eve for organising this event and to Elaine and Eve for the lovely photo contributions.
