It was a 6.00 am start for meeting our grower Simon Boyce with the plant delivery for the Carpet bed opposite Ocean on Exmouth Seafront. Marion (with camera phone) and Graham had to clear and prepare the site first before shaping the crown design and then filling in the background Union Jack Flag with flowers. This was a tricky design and was far from easy! We hope that all the flower colours will soon develop so that the ‘picture’comes into sharp focus for all to appreciate.
It was a tough back-breaking project, involving wall climbing, a slope, and watering by hand BUT what a wonderful place to work.
