We were invited by Doug Clarke, landlord of The Strand Inn, to have a social evening with Musical Bingo and what a fun night it was. 45 Volunteers and friends came and sang along to rounds of 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s music, at the same time as filling in their Bingo cards. Exmouth’s Mayor ( who incidentally won the first ‘House’) and Town Crier, were there to support, as was Devon County Councillor Richard Scott. There was a lot of laughter as the evening progressed and after a lovely, unexpected buffet supper, provided by Doug’s wife, we were presented with a cheque and donation from The Strand Inn’s charity collections, of a total of £250. A raffle raised a further £50.
Thank you Doug for your support and for a very jolly evening. I’m sure we will be arranging another social event with you in the New Year.
