The Awards ceremony was held in Manor Gardens on 22nd May for prize winners of the Exmouth in Bloom Annual Art Competition for Rainbows and Brownies and also The Mayor’s Art Competition. The theme this year was to illustrate ‘Life in Lockdown’.
The Mayor of Exmouth, Steve Gazzard, assisted by Exmouth in Bloom’s chairman Mrs. Gerry Bassett presented certificates and prizes to 16 children aged between 6 and 14, in Manor Gardens. The children’s families were fortunately able to be there to watch, due to it being an outdoor venue.
Presentations commenced with the 2020 Competition awards, which had been postponed from last year due to Covid restrictions.
Congratulations to all the 2021 participants and especially to Elspeth Snook, Connie Mewse and Charlotte Helman whose original entries will be submitted for judging by Lady Emma Fellowes in the South West in Bloom competition. We wish them luck.
It is hope to hold a public exhibition of all the entries later in the year.
