Today Exmouth was hit with Storm Darragh. The severely strong winds took the roofing felt off the whole of a building in the Strand, dumping it on the wooden railings and the dinosaur beds.
Dino down!
Just one Dino has definitely taken a nosedive under the roofing felt. Can’t tell if it’s actually damaged yet but it’s nose is down and its tail is definitely ‘up’ instead of level!
The Spirit of the Exe boat ( sponsored by Community Transport) and the baby hatchling Dino have survived the storm but at present it can’t be confirmed that three other dinosaurs may have been ‘wiped out’ under that roofing felt.
So very sorry for the residents in the flats above the shops, who have lost their roofing.
UPDATE: Debris cleared and he’s survived…. and has been moved away from danger. One missing leg and one missing foot but otherwise all the Dino’s are intact. Hurrah!
