30.05.25: New Art in the Landscape installation at the Wildflower patch

We had a bit of a last minute Pop up workparty to prep the Wildflower Patch ready for Grahams ‘window’ murals to be put up. We have cut back the wildflowers  for access purposes and tidied the whole area. We’ve also renovated the Bug Hedge with some replacement stakes  and made a start on replacing some of the gravelled area with concrete to stop people kicking it all over the pavement.

Definitely a good job done today.  Big thanks to the team today.

THEN:-

Our latest Art in the Landscape project was installed. Graham has painted three  ‘windows’…….Sunrise, Mid-morning and Sunset looking out to sea from Exmouth Seafront. This was on Gillies radar to be done before she passed away last year!  So again Graham has completed the wonderful art work.

We cut back the  (almost iflowering) wildflowers to help with access to the wall and have high hopes that they will recover.  We have sown new seed to help it along. Thank you Graham, Mike, Bill and Peter for installing the ‘windows’, Bill for improving the pavement area too, and the GWR for allowing us to source electricity for the drills!
