25.01.25: We move 12 troughs to the Dinosaur Paddocks area.

What a good decision to move the Sunday workparty to Saturday, avoiding the weather forecast.

A beautiful, if cold morning greeted 11  volunteers. (Apologies that some are missing from the final  group photo).

The task was to move the troughs from the far side of the Strand and install them under the railings of the Dinosaur paddocks to bring some more colour to that area. The troughs will definitely benefit from a sunnier aspect too.

The beds were also edged up, given a good weed and tidy and were expertly litter picked by Linda and Sheila and their chief assistant Evelyn. The Strand  roundabout got a weed and tidy too and looksloved again.

Graham brought a few trays of young agapanthus and perennial geranium plants which he’d grown on and we’ve slotted those into the beds in the Strand for some extra summer colour.

Great team work as always and thank you to everyone.

Good to catch up for a cuppa at ‘the spoons’ afterwards

.

The newly installed troughs are looking really good in their new home in the Dinosaur paddocks!

This is a much sunnier area so they will thrive once the better weather is here.
