Planting Day today was hard hot work but went like clockwork from the get go. The early crew of Marion Liz, Bill, Barbara and Anne were there ready with barrows, the trolley, water containers, watering cans, tools and the planting plans, to meet Simon Boyce’s delivery of plants at 7.30.
Angie and Paul arrived to help with sorting the plants and we were ready by 8.30 for the first of the volunteers to arrive for planting. Huge thanks to everyone who got stuck in with their allocated jobs thanks to Marion’s Plans and Elaines work schedule.
Main planting was completed by 10.15 and we then assembled to welcome ABC nursery children and Exeter Road Year 1 class to arrive for their planting experience with us.
We thank everyone for their amazing effort today and sincerely hope that it converts to a Gold award, come judging day on 22nd July.
