After more than 6 weeks, today it rained at the start and end of our workparty! We got a tad wet! Todays task was to clear some spaces ready for us to add some summer colour to our displays in a couple of weeks time. We were in the Station area to weed, edge and tidy the Wavy bed, the two Station boats, the planters on the platform, the WOCL roundabout, the Strand roundabout, the Verge, the Swimming pool planters, the Rotary Troughs, the planters outside the pharmacy and the Wild flower strip by the fence. Thank you to our 15 amazing volunteers today who worked together to get the jobs done. We added a slow release fertiliser dressing on the soil too.
We have left a few polyanthus, forgetmenots, bellis daisies, anagolis and wall flowers by the wall near the big Wavy bed outside the LED. If anyone would like to help themselves, please do.
