The first Sunday of October and another wonderfully sunny day for our general work party. The plan was to prepare our beds and boats in the Station area, for the addition of plants to provide winter colour in a couple of weeks time. We harvested almost all the magnificent Pinto Violet geraniums to over-winter in greenhouses this year and the remainder of the summer annuals have gone for composting. At the same time we also neatened up some of the Stipas and edged up the Wavy Bed,
15 fantastic volunteers put in an hour and a half each today and deserved a cuppa at the end. Superb work all round.
