It was Winter Planting Day today and after storm Ciaran….the sky was a perfect blue and the sun shone on us. Elaine’s incredible workparty plan worked perfectly. The early doors team helped Simon and Tim Boyce unload the delivery and sorted the plants according to Marion’s planting plans. Then 29 wonderful volunteers, arriving at staggered times, set about planting our beds, planters and boats. Judy did a great job delivering plants by wheelbarrow and Gerry and Rich delivered to the areas furthest away by car. Carol was on ‘donations bucket’ duty and kept an eye on ‘base camp’
What great team work today and all completed before 11 am. Huge thanks and a big shout out….Well done….. to everyone who helped today.
