Every year Exmouth in Bloom organises a competition for local gardeners and those who help to keep Exmouth looking good. There are classes for everyone, ranging from hanging baskets to large gardens. There are also classes for different local businesses and clubs. A presentation of this year’s awards was made at Exmouth Rugby Club on October 1st.
The competition was launched on May 18 at Manor Lodge, in their lovely garden (see photo below), with residents, members of staff, Mr Cracknell (one of last year’s winners), and Bloom members.
Our thanks to the Mayor of Exmouth, Cllr Maddie Chapman, for presenting the awards; to Kings Garden & Leisure for supplying the grand prize of £100 in vouchers to the overall winner, Mr M Jackson; to Otter Nurseries for donating garden vouchers to the winner of each category; and to St Bridget’s Nursery for their vouchers.
Please see below for the full results and some photos of the winning gardens.
