After nearly twenty years’ dedicated service to the Exmouth in Bloom committee Lyn Rockey (on left of picture) has decided to retire. The committee met for afternoon tea and gave her a lovely patio rose bush called ‘Thank You’ to mark this event.
Lyn has worked tirelessly and in particular has nurtured and tended the flower bed in front of the library in the last few years. Her vast plant knowledge, gained from completing crosswords in gardening magazines, and her amazing skills designing and making fabulous costumes for the Exmouth Carnival each year will be especially missed. She will still be helping at fundraising stalls but intends to do all the gardening she does exclusively in her own garden from now on!
