Littleham School Gardening Ambassadors impress at IYN judging.

What a busy day on 4th July for South West in Bloom judge Jim Collins, who was welcomed to Exmouth to assess our two outlying IYN entries. Jim started at Littleham C of E Primary School. He enjoyed meeting Sarah Padbury, Head of Learning,  Graham Bell and the Gardening Club Ambassadors and helped them with harvesting  peas, potatoes, garlic, radishes and lettuce and strawberries, which the cooks came to take away to prepare for lunch. We then sat for a while in the quiet garden with a long cold drink before leaving the school via the Infants classes, where there was a hive of activity with the watering of the wild flower area, peas and beans and colourful hanging planters made from old Coca Cola bottles. Of course the boys just love digging and making mud! What a delight to see these children so enthusiastic about what they have achieved.
