We had a gallant group turn out at The Verge today. Graham and Gillie have some details to finish on the mural but we struck while the weather was good and got the major planting done. Some 6 foot Cordylines and a number of Phormiuim Tricolour went into their permanent homes. We thought you would smile at the photo of the girls digging while the boys held up the tree and supervised!!! (Actually the hole had been mostly dug before the girls took over!)
Thank you to the appreciative gentleman who bought us bags of doughnuts (jam and custard varieties) in appreciation of the great work we do for the town. It’s so lovely to get these little bonuses when you least expect them!
