Exmouth in Bloom’s first Quiz Night Fundraiser and raffle was enjoyed by 70 hardy souls who braved the rain, wind and cold to attend. It was certainly a night of fun at Exmouth Rugby Club.
Mike Moxey, our quizmaster, had a Flower and Plant theme to many of the rounds. We welcomed teams of our volunteers and supporters as well as teams from Devon Wildlife Garden, Littleham in Bloom, and Magnolia W.I. but the winning team, after 2 tie breaker questions, was from the U3A Gardening Club, who along with two other teams, scored 91 out of a possible 111 points. Fantastic! They definitely knew their ‘onions’ from their tulip bulbs! Congratulations to them and ‘Well Done’ to everyone else.
Raffle prizes were very kindly donated by EiB volunteers and by Brixington Fish and Chip shop ( Lets Fry Away), Antonio’s in The Strand, Brixington Co-op, and Marks and Spencer. We are most grateful for their contributions.
We hope this will become an annual event so pencil it in your diary for 2019 now.
