The volunteers are hard at work preparing for this year’s visit by South West in Bloom judges following success last year in winning gold, along with the St Bridget Cup for Best Large Coastal Town from South West in Bloom and silver gilt from the national Britain in Bloom contest.
Ahead of the judges visit on July 10, Exmouth in Bloom, which has been helped in its preparations by Wilson’s Paints and East Devon District Council’s Streetscene team, is asking the public to help get the town looking as good as possible.
Vice chairman Marion Drew said
“Could you, for example, wash, sweep or weed the pavement outside your business or home, plant a few flowers in a dull corner or tend a neglected verge?
All these things require just a little effort but if lots of people did their part then together they would make a huge difference.”
