Our fantastic volunteer and Secretary, Sharon has grown on several trays of Cosmos Dazzler that were more than ready to be planted. So we had some for sale on the stall at the weekend, but decided that the back of The Strand seating needed brightening up too. We’ve put in about 80 Dazzlers ( as well as some left over tomato plants!!!) in the hope that they will make a wonderful (and tasty) show by Judging day on 15th July, when we will be welcoming Richard Budge and Jim Collins from South West in Bloom for the day.
Rich dug the bare bed over ( and watered everything later on), Marion and Elaine planted, (along with Angus from World of Country Life!) and Kate and Sheila had the back breaking job of staking and tying every plant. More great work on a busy day.
