We took delivery of our Winter plants, mostly Violas, Bellis daisies, Myosotis and 400 Wallflowers which were generously donated by Kings Garden and Leisure Exmouth, before dawn yesterday and were dressed for the possibility of rain. But the elements were pretty kind and with the help of teams of fantastic volunteers we had EVERYTHING planted and looking good by midday. We were heartened and encouraged by all the lovely comments and donations from passers by during the morning and one planting team were brought a coffee each by Deli in the Strand. How kind was that?
We have Planting Day down to a fine art now and it runs like clockwork as all the plants get sorted out at ‘base camp’ into their various areas, before the volunteers arrive for planting. As always we had a lot of fun and as always ‘Team Exmouth in Bloom’ did an amazing job.
