After a delicious buffet for all the attendees, the 2nd part of the Awards Evening was dedicated to the Local Gardening Competition. There were 61 entries this year over 8 classes, plus two schools who had previously had their own presentation afternoon ( see News item re. Schools Gardening Competition) at Kings Garden and Leisure Exmouth, who sponsored all the prizes for the Awards Evening. We are most grateful for their generous support.
Certificates of merit were presented to all the entrants, with the overall class winner having the highest mark from those who achieved a Gold Standard of 85% or more.
