This is the Strand Cafe Quarter in 2016. All rather un-inspiringly planted with three flowering cherry trees and buddleias. Exmouth in Bloom sought permission to put 12 troughs between the barrier posts on the side facing the War Memorial. We then set about filling them in Summer and Winter and what a difference it has made. Some of the troughs are generously sponsored by local businesses who are recognised with blue plaques on the barriers. Simple but effective you will agree.
The two metal planters in this area have been re-positioned together and now make much more of an impact. They have also been repainted Exmouth in Bloom Blue……which is the actual name for this colour and is available from Wilsons Paints Ltd.in Exmouth
