04.04.21: The Sensory Garden is taking shape.

The exciting Sensory Garden for Exmouth, in one of the Sunken Gardens on Exmouth seafront, is at last taking shape. This is the third major project where Exmouth Art Group has worked in partnership with Exmouth in Bloom for the benefit of all. Getting the project off the ground has taken E.A.G more than 2 years . Permissions and licence to develop part of the Sunken Garden had first to be granted by EDDC. The installation of the frame-work  for the stunning mural, (painted over the winter lockdown) and the planting of a number of flowering  trees has been paid for by donations from Art Club members.  The work so far has been overseen by our very own Landscape designer Graham Bell, who is a member of both Exmouth in Bloom and Exmouth Art Club. Graham  has also marked out the positions for the walkways, walls and raised beds that will be constructed in the next few weeks. Exmouth in Bloom  and Exmouth Art Group volunteers will then tackle the planting. EDDC Streetscene have already provided some picnic benches which will be incorporated in the finished design. All looking exceptionally good!
