Our Annual Quiz Night was held at the GWR Club, who not only generously provided the venue free of charge, by way of supporting the work of Exmouth in Bloom, but also provided bar staff and their marvellous resident Quiz Master Ed, who runs the Quiz there every Thursday evening throughout the year.
Ed kept us all under control (his word is always final), and gave us a round of Gardening themed questions as well as General Knowledge and Dingbats. The Town Crier and our chairman Gerry started the proceedings with a warm welcome and the Mayor closed the night thanking everyone for a lovely evening of brain-taxing fun. There was a packed room with 22 teams of 6 and we would like to thank everyone from the community who came to support this event and for the donation of raffle prizes, including a Fish and Chip supper for two, from Let’s Fry Away. The incredible sum of over £500 was raised and this will be going towards making our Britain in Bloom National Campaign entry extra special this year.
