We help out EDDC with Schools Planting in Manor Gardens

It has been a long standing tradition for local Primary schools to design and plant flower beds in Manor Gardens  This year Littleham and Marpool  Primary Schools took up the challenge set by EDDC with the theme of Glenn Miller and his Music and drew A4 ‘posters’, using the set colour scheme of different shades of Gold and Green.

The designs were judged by the Parks Dept. and a winner from each school was selected and the designs adapted for the plants.

The children arrived and were excited to get stuck into placing and planting the hundreds of plants. Helped by the Streetscene crew and Exmouth in Bloom, they soon had the beds finished and despite the rain they all agreed that they had had a wonderful morning. Thank you to Sharon Scott and Jane Nicholls from the Parks Dept and to everyone who helped.  We all look forward to the designs ‘appearing’ as the plants grow.

Good work everyone!
